Learning from Denmark: What the UK Can Take from a Leading Embodied Carbon Strategy
Denmark's Embodied Carbon Story and Learnings for Part Z

As the built environment grapples with its carbon responsibilities, Denmark is already showing what is possible.
In July, the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP) hosts a timely event examining Denmark’s national Reduction Roadmap – an approach that has rapidly reshaped the country’s construction sector through clear embodied carbon limits and performance benchmarks. With the UK still debating Part Z, there is much to learn from our northern neighbours.
Straw Building UK (SBUK) is proud to support ASBP in advancing this conversation. As members of the ASBP network, we recognise the urgent need for regulatory momentum that includes – not sidelines – biobased materials.
If you are interested in what Denmark got right, and how their journey could shape the UK's own path towards lifecycle carbon legislation, we encourage you to attend.
